Joining Farley's September Currently a little late, but it's better than never, right?!
I'm listening to the raindrops on the roof, which makes for a calming Labor Day holiday! I'm loving Lynda Hunt's "Fish in a Tree". This is a must read for all educators. I hope to be like Mr. Daniels when I grow up one day! I'm thinking I should probably start working on some lesson planning, but this rainy weather makes me want to take a nap. I'm wanting my house to be magically decorated for the fall. I've never been big on decorations (yes, sometimes even Christmas), but I'm feeling festive this year! I'm needing to get my classroom bulletin boards done. I have the fabric and border put up, but that's it and we are going on the fourth week of school, yikes! My goals this month are: (1) Finally get started on some grading, (2)Blog Weekly, and (3) Read 5 books this month.
I hope you'll join in the linky fun over at Oh Boy, 4th Grade!

ReplyDeleteHi Miss A! I find it interesting that we have some similarities with our Currently September. I have a lot to get done as well (Bulletin boards, upload grades, could be working on lesson plans for next week-lol). Thanks for suggesting the book "Fish in a Tree." I love to learn about new books that would be great for read alouds in my class.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how were you able to link Oh Boy, 4th Grade's blog to your post?
Happy Teaching and Blogging this year!
Hey! We do have a lot in common with our Currently September! Fish in a Tree would be an amazing read aloud! I linked with Oh Boy, 4th Grade with the link icon on Blogger. It is at the right up towards the left and I just put her web address in! I hope this helps you!

I love how you wish your house would magically decorate for fall. I enjoyed decorating yesterday for fall. I have been burning my candles and am in love with the smell. The only problem is that the weather is not matching the aroma in my room. I too want to blog weekly. I find it difficult to do with all that is going on in school and all that I am involved in. What helps you stay up to date with your blog?

Stuck In The Middle
Hey Kimberly!
DeleteI'm jealous that you already have your candles burning! I still need to purchase my fall candles, which will be happening soon because I love that fall pumpkin smell filling up my house! I have to constantly keep my blog on my mind, sounds odd but if I keep thinking about it then I will get to it. I also try not miss some of the weekly linky parties, like 5 for Friday from Doodle Bugs Teaching. I'm always checking on my blog on the weekend even if I don't get to it during the week, which being practical happens a lot with our teacher life! I hope you find my ramble somewhat helpful!

Grading? Me, too! I'm so bad at waiting until the paper holder flows over! I'm feeling the Fall Flutters too. It's my favorite time of year! Have fun decorating!

Thanks Vicky! That paper holder definitely needs to be overflowing for me to get to it. Wishing you a great year!
